Saffron is spice obtained from a stigma of beautiful purple saffron flower grown in Srinagar Valley in India. These spice obtained from this is one of the most expensive and elite as its grown only in a specified geolocation in a specific time of the year. The whole process from growing to sowing is done by professional farmers only plucked, grading and drying the spice is an art the natives got from their forefathers. The stigma is longer compared to other types and it is most sought after because of its bold flavor and its rich and deep red hue. It packs an aroma that brings warmth but balances it with just a note of bitterness which is a major characteristic of Saffron.
